The story of ATCO Pharma Animal Health began in 1986, when Dr. Mostafa Abo El-Naga and Eng. Mohamed Abo El-Naga established Abo El-Naga Veterinary Medicines Distribution Store, specializing in veterinary medicines and feed additives. By 1988, the business had grown into a pharmaceutical distribution company, and in 1990, ATCO started representing leading international companies in Egypt, including Pfizer, Virbac, and Memphis. In 1994, the company became the sole agent for Laboratorios Calier and Dex Ibérica, strengthening its position in the animal health market.

In 1999, ATCO took its first step into production through toll manufacturing, with Atocef Forte among the first products to carry the ATCO name. In 2006, the company started building its own manufacturing facility in Quesna, El Menoufia, which became operational in 2011 and marked an important step toward local manufacturing. Since then, ATCO has continued to expand its Animal Health portfolio, including antibacterials, antiparasitics, feed additives, immunity products, vaccines, and pet products.

ATCO’s commitment to quality was recognized with the International Quality Crown Award in 2015, along with its GMP and ISO certifications. In 2022, the company achieved another important milestone by obtaining a license to manufacture β-Lactam antibiotics. ATCO also expanded its presence beyond Egypt, with exports to markets including Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, the UAE, Vietnam, and Algeria.

Today, ATCO Pharma Animal Health is among the Top 5 veterinary companies in Egypt, continuing to grow through quality manufacturing, strong partnerships, exports, and a clear commitment to better animal health.
